CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 672
February 28, 2008
TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government
SUBJECT: U. S. Code, 2006 Edition
As referenced in Circular Letter 388, dated November 22, 1994, funding for the printing, binding, and distribution of the U.S. Code is no longer being provided to offices of the Executive and Judicial Branches out of Congressional Printing and Binding Funds.
This is to inform all departments and agencies that the Government Printing Office has established February 1, 2008 as the ABSOLUTE deadline for the receipt of orders to ride the printing of the U.S. Code, 2006 Edition (which, depending on final page count, will comprise from 37 to 45 volumes to form a set). Please use the following estimated rider rates, based on a 45-volume set, when preparing your requisitions. Your actual costs will be lower if the set comprises fewer volumes.
The requisition should be made out for U.S. Code, 2006 Edition, riding Jacket 40-101 through 40-146, and forwarded to: U.S. Government Printing Office, Agency Publishing Services, Requisition Section (Stop: CSA), Washington, DC 20401. Specify paper or casebound copies. If not specified, paper copies will be furnished. Mailing charges, if incurred, will be added to your account. Please direct questions concerning this letter to Joyce Ashford, Congressional Publishing Services, on 202-512-0224.
