Recommendations

When the Office of the Inspector General has Audit, Inspection, or Investigation findings, we offer constructive recommendations for corrective actions. Recommendations should not be overly prescriptive in nature; rather, they should describe what needs to be corrected and the Agency should define how to accomplish the recommendation. In accordance with statute, we report recommendations that are over a year old in each Semiannual Report to Congress. In order to keep GPO leadership fully informed, we include the status of recommendations organized by fiscal year and available via the drop down menu below.
